Offers professional coaching services in the following areas: executive/leadership/life/writing/relationship
I help individuals and businesses define and get in step with their stated goals and values according to their agenda. I’m an experienced coach, having worked with hundreds of clients over the past several years, coming to coaching from a business background and as a trained therapist. My clients and I work to close the gap between who or what they say they are, or want to be, and who or what they actually are now, as expressed by their actions.
I’m also a writer, and communications consultant. I have published dozens of articles in North American newspapers, websites and magazines and for Reuters and Thomson Newspapers over the past twenty years. I published a book on self-coaching with co-author, psychologist and coach, Dr. Stephen Renfrey, called Deep Coaching: A Guide to Self Directed Living. I am currently writing a book on 42 Things You May Not Know About Yourself. I write a monthly career column called Ask The Coach in Job Postings magazine. I also write articles and have a blog I update every week. I recently published an article on the boundary between therapy and coaching in Choice Magazine, the premier coaching journal.
I was a successful entrepreneur, business development executive, and business and communication consultant before turning to executive and life coaching full-time. I have an MA from The University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science from the McGill University. I also attended The Ontario College of Art, Columbia University and I have a three year certificate in Leadership and Psychotherapy from the Gestalt Institute of Toronto. I received coach training from the Gestalt Institute and the Coach Training Institute. In addition I help train and mentor new coaches through a program called Great Coach Mentoring with fellow coach Michele Caron and in telesessions with coach Wanda Ropa. I bring a wealth of experience and aptitudes to the exciting and fulfilling work of coaching. The breadth of my experience and the training I’ve done ensures that you’ll get insight, clarity and direction from me.
As a communication consultant, I helped entrepreneurs and start-up companies raise capital and get established in their fields, I also worked with non-profits and government agencies. I helped them clarify who they are and what their purpose is and helped them clearly communicate it. I worked for ventures such as Aerius Wireless, Valt.x Technologies and LanPak, companies that aren’t household names, but will be one day.
As a business development consultant, I helped companies find synergy with other companies, locate and communicate with investors, raise money, and connect them with government programs that helped them develop new lines of products.
My clients include executives and leaders from the following companies and organizations:
SAP America; Westinghouse; KPMG; General Dynamics; Grand Marnier Canada; The Bank of Montreal; CIBC; Penn State University; Swarthmore College; Georgia Tech; University of Pennsylvania; and individual entrepreneurs, artists, coaches, therapists and OD consultants.
